Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier as well as Tom Bell. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was able to show a flair in the performing arts from the age of a child. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell was appointed by her mom as an agent when she was just thirteen years old. Then, she was cast for newspaper ads and TV commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at that time. Bell played a small part without credit on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in both the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy role. Bell was a student of musical theatre at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell, who graduated in 2001, left her studies at the university to play her role as Becky on Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and the credits only show her. Bell was part of the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
